How the Vaqnt rent pool works
Where the money goes, how it comes back, and the risks you should understand before investing.

Every Vaqnt rent plan starts with a landlord being paid a full year upfront. That money comes from the rent pool — and the rent pool is where investors come in.
What you own
When you invest, you buy units in the pool, called VQR. Each unit is a share of the pool’s rent plans. The app shows everything in naira; the ledger behind it is recorded on a blockchain so every unit is accounted for.
How it earns
Tenants repay their plans monthly, and each plan includes interest. As repayments come in, the pool grows and so does the value of each unit.
What can go wrong
Some tenants will miss payments. We check every tenant’s identity and income, hold a debit mandate on their accounts and run a recovery process, but losses can still happen and unit value can fall. Large withdrawals can also take time.
When it opens
The pool opens to the public only after registration with the Securities and Exchange Commission, Nigeria. Until then you can join the investor waitlist in the app.
“Returns are a target, not a promise. Only invest money you can leave in for a while.”
