1. Your capital is at risk

The value of your units can go down as well as up, and you may get back less than you invested.

2. Returns are not guaranteed

The target return of up to 10% a year is based on plan fees, not a promise. Actual returns depend on how many tenants repay on time.

3. Tenants may not repay

We verify identity and income, hold a debit mandate and run recovery, but some tenants will fall behind and some losses may not be recovered.

4. You may not be able to sell quickly

Sales up to ₦250,000 are usually paid instantly. Larger sales join a queue and normally settle within 5 working days, but can take longer if many investors sell at once.

5. Concentration

The pool lends against homes in a small number of cities, starting with Abuja. A local downturn could affect many plans at once.

6. Technology

Units are recorded on a blockchain ledger and held by Vaqnt on your behalf. Technical failures or security incidents could delay access to your units.

7. Not a deposit

The rent pool is not a bank deposit and is not covered by deposit insurance.

8. Regulation

The rent pool will be registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission, Nigeria, and will only open to the public after registration. Until then, no units are offered to the public.
