1. Who we are

Vaqnt is a trading name of Vaqnt Technologies Limited (registration in progress), based in Abuja, Nigeria. In these terms, “we” means Vaqnt and “you” means anyone using our website or app.

2. Using Vaqnt

You must be 18 or over and live in Nigeria to create an account. You agree to give us true, current information and to keep your PIN, password and devices secure. You’re responsible for activity on your account unless it happened because of our failure.

3. Our services

Vaqnt lets tenants find verified homes and pay rent monthly through a rent plan, lets landlords list properties and receive rent upfront, and offers a rent vault for saving. Rent plans are credit products and are subject to approval and to our rent plan terms. The rent pool for investors opens only after registration with the Securities and Exchange Commission, Nigeria, and has its own terms and risk disclosure.

4. Listings

We check ownership and inspect every home before it goes live, but landlords are responsible for the accuracy of their listings and for meeting their obligations under the tenancy. Tell us straight away if anything about a home isn’t as described.

5. What you must not do

Don’t use Vaqnt for fraud or money laundering, list a property you don’t own or manage, apply using someone else’s identity, interfere with our systems, or harass other users. We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules and report suspected crime to the authorities.

6. Our content

The Vaqnt name, logo, app and website content belong to us. You may share links and blog posts, but you may not copy our product or brand.

7. Our liability

We provide Vaqnt with reasonable care and skill. We’re not liable for losses we couldn’t reasonably foresee, for things outside our control, or for the acts of landlords or tenants. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Act 2018 or other Nigerian law.

8. Changes

We may update these terms. If a change matters, we’ll tell you in the app or by email at least 14 days before it takes effect.

9. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by Nigerian law. If we can’t resolve a complaint through our complaints process, disputes go to the courts of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
